Neuropsychological Assessment

The neuropsychological assessment is an analysis of brain functions. It provides information on affected functions due to brain damage, as well as their consequences for all activities of the patient, such as personal, working, scholar, vocational.

There are many test and batteries used in the neuropsychological assessment. Using these tests require profound knowledge of theory and methodology in order to analyze the pattern of quantitative and qualitative results.

The neuropsychological assessment provides information about the functional consequences of brain damage and functions that remain intact. This information is the basis for the rehabilitation program.

The neuropsychological assessment is useful in adults with any type of brain injury, and in children with brain immaturity, disorders in attention, learning disabilities or language disorders.
